Stolen From Bloomfield Cars: PPE, Fog Light, Emergency Supplies
Bloomfield police say stolen items included hundreds of surgical gloves/face masks, a backpack with "emergency supplies" and a fog light.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Items including hundreds of surgical gloves/face masks, a backpack with “emergency supplies” and a fog light were stolen during recent multiple vehicle burglaries in Bloomfield, police say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township.
May 11 - An officer took a telephone report of a theft from auto from a Sadler Road resident. The time frame of the incident was sometime between Saturday, May 9 at 6 p.m. and Monday, May 11 at 1:20 p.m. The resident noticed that her car door was ajar and upon entering the vehicle she discovered that a box of (100 count) of surgical gloves and approximately 300 disposable face masks were taken. The gloves and masks are valued at $320. This incident is under investigation.

May 12 - An officer took a telephone report of a theft from automobile. The Sadler Road resident parked and locked his vehicle, a brown 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Sunday, May 10 at approximately 1:30 p.m. On May 12 at approximately 9 a.m., he returned to his vehicle and noticed his green backpack containing emergency supplies was missing. The items taken are valued at $200. This incident is under investigation.
May 13 - A Morton Street resident reported that during the overnight hours on 5/12/2020-5/13/2020, he observed that the fog light was ripped out of his vehicle and stolen. His vehicle is a 2018 Lexus LS500 and was parked in front of his residence when the incident occurred. The approximate value of the fog light and damage is valued at $1,000.
