Teen Punched In Face, Robbed Of Flip Flops In Bloomfield: Police
Bloomfield police said that the suspects made off with the teen's phone, wallet and Adidas flip flops.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police say that a pair of men recently accosted a 16-year-old teen as he was walking home, then punched him in the face and stole his phone, wallet and flip flops.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the teenager told officers that the robbery took place on July 28 near Liberty and Spruce streets. He said that two men got out of a black vehicle and approached him, asking to use his cell phone.
The teen told officers that one of the men then punched him in the face, knocking him unconscious, police said.

Police said that the suspects made off with the victim’s phone, wallet and his Adidas flip flops.
The teen suffered bruising and abrasions to his arm, hand and face during the encounter, authorities stated.

It's not the township's only recent footwear-related robbery, according to police.
In April, a shoe-related robbery took place in the parking lot of the Wendy’s restaurant on Bloomfield Avenue. Witnesses on the scene told officers that they saw three men accost a 41-year-old male victim and steal his sneakers, then punch and kick him while he was lying on the ground.
