Thief Hits 8 School Buses In Bloomfield, Steals Expensive Parts: PD

Someone stole the catalytic converters from eight school buses in Bloomfield, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Someone stole the catalytic converters from eight school buses in Bloomfield last week, authorities said Tuesday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to a lot on the 100-block of Arlington Avenue on Dec. 5 after getting a report about the theft.

The owner of the lot said that all the school buses were parked in the lot over the weekend with the gate locked. When he began to start the buses on Monday morning, he noticed that eight buses were missing their catalytic converters.
