The twice-yearly event is a great opportunity to bring people together and create a sense of community spirit, Bloomfield's mayor says.

Here’s what to expect, town officials said:
“Organized by the Bloomfield Beautification Committee and with support from the Bloomfield Department of Public Works (DPW) and Division of Public Safety, the town-wide cleanup day is a twice-yearly event that encourages residents to actively participate in the upkeep of their neighborhoods and think about the small ways they can make a difference year-round. Participants choose their own location and the Bloomfield DPW drops off and picks up supplies, including gloves, garbage pickers, bags, rakes, and shovels to be used for the event.”
“We’re thrilled to once again be organizing this incredible town-wide event, which is a great opportunity to bring people together and create a real sense of community spirit,” Mayor Michael Venezia said.

“In the past the turnout has been spectacular so we hope to see even more people come out this time to help us make Bloomfield an even more beautiful place for all,” Venezia added.
“Thank you to all of the volunteers, the Bloomfield Beautification Committee, as well as the members of the Bloomfield Department of Public Works (DPW) and Division of Public Safety, without whom this event would not be possible,” Councilwoman Jenny Mundell said.
