VIDEO: A Backstage Look at 'Newsies'

Actor Andrew Keenan-Bolger takes viewers on a look at the rehearsal process of the premiere of which opened Thursday at the Paper Mill Playhouse.

Andrew brings you backstage to see the cast’s warm-ups and pre-show rituals as they prepare for a dress rehearsal. (You can see both installments here on Patch.)

The musical is inspired by the real life ‘Newsboy Strike of 1899,’ when newsboy Kid Blink led the ragged orphans and runaways known as newsies on a two-week-long action against Joseph Pulitzer, William Randolph Hearst and other powerful newspaper publishers.

"Newsies" will be performed eight times a week, Wednesday through Sunday, through Oct. 16.  Single tickets are now on sale and range in price from $25-$96.
