Westbridge Academy Presents Workshop: Supporting And Working With Caregivers of Challenging Student
Educators Will Learn Strategies and Best Practices
Bloomfield, NJ – Westbridge Academy, a private school serving students with emotional disabilities, will host a workshop for area educators entitled: Supporting and Working With Caregivers of Challenging Students.
The 3-hour event will take place on Friday, March 11th, empowering educators and professionals with strategies and practices to use while working with caregivers of challenging students.
“Westbridge Academy is hosting this event to help area educators and professionals recognize the unique challenges of working with families who are caring for a child with disabilities,” said Dr. Viviana Litovsky, the school’s director. “Many of these caregivers have an added layer of acute stress, mental health issues, social isolation, or poverty, so educators need to use best practices for effective communication, reduction of conflict, and active listening,” she concluded.
