‘Women to Watch’: Bloomfield Seeks Nominations For 2023 Awards
The annual event celebrates women who have made "significant contributions to the Bloomfield community.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Township of Bloomfield Women’s History Month Committee is seeking nominations for the 2023 Bloomfield “Women to Watch” recognition awards. The annual event recognizes and celebrates women who have made “significant contributions to the community and have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and impact in their personal and professional lives.”
Bloomfield municipal officials said the program is open to all women who reside in Bloomfield. Criteria for the recognition include: “local women who forge change in our community and the world around us, elevate visibility of and enhance equity for women, build workplaces where women thrive, pursue goals without bias or barrier, and ensure women feel confident and informed to advocate for themselves and those around them.”
Nominations for the award will be accepted until Feb. 21. Honorees will be recognized on the town’s social media channels on International Women's Day (March 8) and by special proclamation at the regular council meeting on March 27. The township is also planning a series of events in honor of Women's History Month that will be released in the beginning of March.
