You Ask, Bing Answers: New Webpage Designed to Improve Transparency

Ask a question anonymously - Bloomfield's new superintendent will answer

Superintendent Jason Bing is making good on his to Bloomfield.

The township's newest superintendent, with the help of Supervisor of Technology Joanne Decker, has recently launched "Word on the Street," a webpage designed to strengthen communication between the public and school officials. The webpage, which can be found on the Bloomfield schools district website, features a question/answer format and includes concise responses from Bing. Identities of those posing questions are kept anonymous.

"It's a simple way to try to nip ball-field rumors and gossip before they spread," Bing said at the Board of Education Tuesday night. "It's a great resource for parents and community members who may have similar concerns."

Bing has used "Word on the Street" in other districts and believes it will help dispel rumors from being spread, according to the Bloomfield schools district website.
