The B4L Book Club was started in 2008 by Debra D'Andrea, the Bloomfield High School media specialist.

The club had about 100 members at the high school when the academic year ended. The group has continued to meet over the summer with support from the Bloomfield Public Library.

D'Andrea said she was happy the club has been able to continue through the summer vacation.

"We've worked so hard and became a family," she said. "The students deserve this opportunity and I am committed to continue the program for them."
