Power Knocked Out To 1,500 Customers In Brick: JCP&L

The outage lasted nearly three hours for most of those affected.

BRICK, NJ — About 1,500 customers were without power Thursday evening in the Herbertsville section of the township, according to Jersey Central Power & Light

Readers contacting the Patch said power went out about 9:30 p.m. Brick Township police said they were aware of the power outage but did not have information on the cause.

Power was estimated to be restored by 1 a.m. though some residents reported getting their power back about 15 minutes after the outage began. JCP&L reported power had been restored to most of the outage area by midnight.

A telephone message seeking information from JCP&L on the cause of the outage was not immediately returned.
