2 Officers Join Brick Township Police Department

BRICK, NJ — Two new officers have been sworn in to the Brick Township Police Department.

Michael Delaney Jr. and Nicholas Malvasio were sworn in Thursday by Mayor John G. Ducey at the township municipal building.

Delaney (below) has been a Special Law Enforcement Officer I with Brick since 2019. He is a volunteer firefighter with Pioneer Hose Fire Company, where he has been a member since December 2018.

Malvasio (below) was a member of the Brick Township Police Explorers Program from 2012-16 and became an SLEO I in Mantoloking in 2017, then became an SLEO II in Mantoloking in 2018 after attending the Ocean County Police Academy. Malvasio joined the Ocean County Sheriff's Department in 2021, working in the Crime Scene Investigation Unit before being hired in Brick.
