2nd Teen Arrested In Shooting Near Brick Memorial
The 2nd boy, 16, also is charged with four counts of attempted murder in Tuesday's shooting, authorities said.

BRICK, NJ -- A second teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured a 16-year-old Brick Memorial High School student on Tuesday, authorities announced Saturday.
The second teenager is a 16-year-old boy, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio said in announcing the arrest. The teenager turned himself at the Brick Township police department.
Like the 17-year-old who was arrested Wednesday night, the teen arrested Saturday has been charged with four counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, authorities said. He was being taken to the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing.

The teen, whose hometown was not released, had been identified through surveillance footage captured by nearby home security systems and a warrant had been issued for his arrest, authorities said.
With Saturday's arrest, "law enforcement is confident that all suspects associated with this shooting incident are now in custody," the prosecutor's office said.

Authorities confirmed the shooting on Tuesday was related to a drive-by shooting on Oct. 19 in the Briar Mills condominium complex but have not announced any arrests in that shooting.
The student who was injured in Tuesday's shooting ran back to Brick Memorial High School bleeding from a grazing wound to the shoulder. Another student let him into the school; he was not followed by either suspect, authorities said. Both Brick Memorial and Lanes Mill Elementary School were locked down as a result. The victim was treated at Ocean Medical Center and released.
"Our investigation has revealed that the suspects acted together and in support of one another in carrying out these acts of senseless violence," Billhimer said. "The apprehension of the individuals in question is a perfect example of local, state and federal law enforcement officials working together to achieve a common objective: removing bad actors from our streets. I cannot praise the teamwork of these law enforcement agencies enough. All the officers involved in this investigation should take great pride in the fact they have made the community safer and more secure. They have my profound gratitude."
Authorities said the U.S. Marshal's Service assisted.
