$35K In Heroin, 600 Rounds Of Ammo Seized By Brick Police
Breaking: Phillip Tarver of Toms River and Rajuonna Baker of Lakewood were arrested, police said.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police seized $35,000 worth of heroin and two high-capacity ammuntion magazines plus more than 600 rounds of ammunition following an investigation and a motor vehicle stop in Brick Thursday night.
Phillip A. Tarver, 34, of Toms River, and Rajuonna A. Baker, 22, of Lakewood, both were arrested as a result of the stop by the Brick Township Drug Enforcement Unit, Brick Lt. Joseph Forrester said Friday.
The unit stopped the car in the area of Lowes Home Improvement on Route 70 about 11 p.m. Thursday, Forrester said, and after a brief investigation detectives searched the car and found the following:

- About 200 grams (7 ounces) of heroin with an estimated street value of $35,000
- Two 30-round high capacity magazines fully loaded with .223 caliber ammunition, plus an additional 292 rounds
- 51 hollow point bullets (.223 caliber)
- A .380-caliber magazine loaded with six bullets plus an additional 50 rounds
- 99 rounds of .40-caliber ammunition
- About $1,700 in cash.
Forrester did not say what prompted the stop.
Tarver was charged with obstructing, hindering apprehension, possession of a high-capacity magazine, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute (over 5 ounces). He also had outstanding warrants on other charges out of Ocean County, Forrester said.

Baker was charged with possession of a high-capacity magazine and possession of hollow-point ammunition.
Both are being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, according to the Ocean County Corrections website.
