• Brick man accused of targeting work vehicles and stealing $15K in tools (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Brick Township police say a local man is accused of breaking into work vehicles on the north side of town and stealing about $15,000 in tools and equipment, much of which was later recovered through a search warrant. Investigators also linked him to additional vehicle burglaries in Point Pleasant Borough, where more stolen property turned up and separate charges were filed. The suspect remains presumed innocent pending court proceedings.
• TeamBirth expands to 33 NJ hospitals (njbiz.com) — Expectant parents in Brick will soon see TeamBirth rolled out at Hackensack Meridian Health's Ocean University Medical Center, part of a statewide expansion to 33 hospitals. The program uses structured team huddles and shared planning boards to improve communication, autonomy, and safety during childbirth, with especially strong reported benefits for Black and Medicaid-covered patients. Clinicians also report better teamwork and birth experiences.
• Stockton places fourth at Osprey Open meet (pressofatlanticcity.com) — A Brick Township runner, Owen Bergen, helped Stockton University to a strong fourth-place team finish at the Osprey Open cross-country meet in Galloway with a personal-best time over eight kilometers. He placed 27th in a field of 151 runners, contributing valuable points alongside several top-40 teammates. The squad now gets a short break before racing again in early October.
