Ready For Fall Fishing? Brick Beach Driving Permits Available Starting Sept. 1

The beach driving permits, geared to surf fishermen, are valid from Oct. 1 through April 30, 2022.

BRICK, NJ — People who wish to drive on Brick Township's beaches for fall surf fishing will be able to apply for permits beginning in September, the township announced Thursday.

Beach access for vehicles is permitted from Oct. 1, 2021, through April 30, 2022.

Beach vehicle permit applications are available online and can be picked up in the township clerk's office at the municipal building 401 Chambers Bridge Road. The permit application fee is $35. The permit is free for veterans who have a military ID.

Beach access will be available at Brick Beach One only.

All vehicles are subject to inspection by the Brick Township Police Department before a permit is approved. Inspections will be performed beginning Sept. 1 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays and from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays through the end of September.
