Brick To Celebrate Hanukkah With Menorah Lighting
The township's ceremony is Tuesday.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township officials are inviting residents to join them Tuesday night for the township's Menorah lighting celebration.
The celebration honors Hanukkah, the Jewish eight-day "festival of lights," which begins Saturday and concludes Jan. 1.
The celebration in 2015 included a presentation by Temple Beth Or Rabbi Robert Rubin, who talked about the history of Hanukkah and displayed and explained the dreidel, the Jewish top that bears the Hebrew letters, nun, gimmel, hei and shin, an acronym for nes gadol hayah sham, “a great miracle happened there,” according to the website Chabad.org.
