Brick Early Childhood Programs Accepting Registration
Brick Recreation offers programs to give your children a taste of preschool or a chance to socialize with other little ones.
BRICK, NJ — The Brick Recreation Department is still accepting registrations for its early childhood programs.
The programs teach children how to interact with others, including their peers and teachers, and help them develop essential learning skills.
All programs are held in the Recreation Department’s Early Childhood Center in the Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road., and are conducted by early childhood teachers.

Mommy or Daddy and Me

Child and Mommy, Daddy or Caretaker will participate in teacher-guided activities such as songs, crafts and free play in the Little Learners Room. For children ages 1 – 3.
First Time on My Own
Children participate independently in the class while the caretakers remain in the foyer. Children will be exposed to a structured environment consisting of circle time, craft projects and open play in the Little Learners Room. For children ages 2 – 3.5.
Bright Start
The program includes two days or three days per week preschool program for 3-year-olds. (Children must be completely potty-trained.) Children will learn social and academic skills independently while participating in a variety of activities and projects. For children 3 years old on or before Oct. 1 of the coming school year.
Junior Bright Start
This program is for children who miss the cut-off date for Bright Start but who are ready for a preschool experience. Children will learn social and academic skills independently while participating in activities and projects. For children age 2.5 who are completely potty-trained.
Jump Start
Jump Start is offered three days a week or five days a week. Children will participate in a full-year pre-kindergarten program consisting of academic and social skills. The year ends with the annual preschool graduation ceremony. For children age 4 on or before Oct. 1 of the coming school year. Child must be completely potty-trained.
