Brick Man Put Hundreds Of Child Porn Photos Online: Prosecutor

BRICK, NJ — A Brick Township man has been charged with possession of child pornography after more than 1,000 sexually explicit images of children were found on his computer, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

Cesar C. Ortega-Zevallos, 69, was arrested Thursday following an investigation, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

Authorities investigating a tip from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual was uploading sexually explicit images of children to the internet, the prosecutor's office said.

The prosecutor's High Tech Crime Unit identified an IP address associated with a Brick Township home as the location, and the person who was uploading the images ultimately was identified as Ortega-Zevallos.

A search warrant was executed Thursday on Ortega-Zevallos's home and his computer was seized, the prosecutor's office said. A forensic examination found more than 1,000 images, they said.

Ortega-Zevallos is being held at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

The prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, Brick Township police, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations-Newark, the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children collaborated on the investigation.
