Brick Postpones Christmas Tree Lighting Amid Storm Forecast

The delayed celebration will include a visit from Santa Claus, entertainment and more.

BRICK, NJ — With storms in the forecast for Wednesday evening, Brick Township officials have decided to postpone the Christmas tree lighting.

The celebration now is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in front of the Brick Township municipal building at 401 Chambers Bridge Road, officials said.

"Residents are invited to join us to welcome the Christmas Season to Brick Township," officials said. "There will be holiday music, hot chocolate, a Christmas train ride and a visit from Santa Claus!"
