The project delivered Valentines from the students to local veterans.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township students brightened Valentine's Day for local veterans with homemade cards that were presented through the "Valentines for Veteran Heroes" project.

Jerome Townsend, Constituent Services Advocate from Kim's office, stopped by Veterans Memorial Elementary School on Friday to thank the students and the school community for their Valentine contributions.

"We would like to thank Congressman Andy Kim for sponsoring this Valentines for Veterans project, which gave our students an opportunity to express their heartfelt appreciation to our local heroes," said Alyce Anderson, curriculum director for the Brick Schools. "Patriotism is a core value of the Brick community. In fact, two of our 12 schools are named in honor of veterans. We are honored to have the Congressman deliver our Valentines to local VFW and American Legion Posts."
