Brief Brick Memorial Evacuation Prompted By Faulty Sensor
Firefighters and police answered an alarm that was the result of a sensor that had gone bad, officials said.

BRICK, NJ — A faulty sensor set off an alarm and prompted a brief evacuation at Brick Memorial High School on Monday morning, authorities said.
Brick Township police received an emergency alert from the school on Lanes Mill Road at 10:35 a.m., Brick Sgt. Jim Kelly said.
Responding firefighters and police searched the building and found there was no smoke or other safety issue, and it was determined that the alarm was the result of a faulty sensor in a detector, district officials said.
