Buy In Brick Generates Nearly $100K In Property Tax Credits
Brick officials said township residents spent more than $1.3 million at local businesses in 2017 through the program.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township residents as a group earned nearly $100,000 in rebates on their property taxes from the township's Buy in Brick program in 2017, officials said.
The program, where participating businesses offer rebates to card-holding residents that are applied as a credit on their property taxes, generated more than $1.3 million in associated sales, Brick Township Council President Heather deJong said Tuesday night.
The program, which started in 2014, now has 55 participating businesses, deJong said, and there was a significant increase in both the amount of sales and in the property tax rebates credited, according to information supplied to the townhip by FinCredit of Marlboro, which administers the program.
