Coastal Flooding Expected After Heavy Rains In Jersey Shore

The advisory will last from 6 to 11 a.m.

A National Weather Service coastal flood advisory will be in effect Sunday after heavy rains fell throughout the Jersey Shore this weekend.

The NWS advisory will last from 6 to 11 a.m. Expect coastal flooding and some minor tidal flooding, according to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

The flooding could happen around high tide Sunday morning, occurring between 7:30 and 9 a.m., and later in many of the back-bay areas.

Expect roadways most prone to minor tidal flooding to have water, the Sheriff’s Department said.
