Cocaine, Heroin Seized, 2 Charged In Brick Drug Investigation

BRICK, NJ — Two Brick Township men are facing drug charges following an investigation that led to the seizure of crack cocaine and heroin at two homes, Brick Township police said.

Thomas Quran, 44, and Michael Sorresso, 54, were arrested May 3 following the investigation by the department's Street Crimes Unit, Patrol Officer Victoria Finelli said.

The department's Special Emergency Response Team searched two homes, one on Isadora Court and the other on Sawmill Road, she said. Crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a digital scale were recovered during the search, she said.

Quran was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of heroin, intent to distribute crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence, Finelli said. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail but released to await trial following a detention hearing.

Sorresso was charged with possession of heroin and released on a summons, she said.

The Street Crimes Unit was assisted in its investigation by the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force and the Lakewood Street Crimes Unit.
