Do You Know An Everyday Brick Hero? Nominate Them For Brick's Hero Awards

BRICK, NJ — Most of the time we think of heroes as people making dramatic rescues.

But Colleen Finnegan of Enspirited Projects, the force behind the Brick Hero Awards, says sometimes heroes are the people who do small things every day that help others, with no thought of recognition.

Started in 2014, the Brick Hero Awards aim to honor people in Brick who do good deeds and who inspire others to do right. Past honorees have included elementary school students who watch over and assist their peers; bus drivers from the Brick school district, and adults who put in hours for a variety of causes within the town.

The third annual awards night has been scheduled for Friday, Jan. 20, at Brick Township High School. They are looking for nominees of more everyday heroes to honor at the event.
