Dragons' Kearns Named Divison MVP
Three Dragons and one Mustang named to Shore 'A' all-division teams

Behind one of the most magical seasons in Brick's history, senior captain Patrick Kearns was awarded the recognition he deserved.
Not only was the defenseman named to Shore 'A' all-division first team, he was named the divsion's Most Valuable Player, as well. Kearns joined the 100-point club on Jan. 25 when he scored the game-winning goal against Howell with 55 seconds remaining in the match.
Forward and fellow senior Matt Gumina joined Kearns on the all-divison first team, while goalie Eddie Rafferty was named the goalie for the division's second team.

Jayson Franceschini, the captain of Brick Memorial, was named to the Shore 'A' second-team. Much like Kearns, Franceschini has had a strong game from defense.
Brendan Dowd, a forward at Brick, and Kevin Talty a senior at Brick Memorial, were listed as honorable mentions as well as both had strong seasons.

The Mustangs season ended in the second round of the state playoffs March 3, after they fell to Ridge 6-0.
After falling in the Handchen Cup final to snap an 18-game win streak, the Dragons defeated Robbinsvile and Verona and will next face Middletown South on Wednesday.
