Brick to Face RBC in Final Tonight

Dragons will look to complete three-game sweep of the Caseys.

For the first time since 2006,the two top seeds will meet in the Handchen Cup final.

With Brick's 5-1 win over Howell and RBC's 8-3 victory over  Toms River South, the two will face-off in the Handchen Cup final at 5:15 p.m. on Friday at the Armory in Red Bank.

The Dragons may very well have had their most impressive win in their 18-game win streak in their win over Howell. Matt Gumina and Patrick Kearns led the way for the Dragons, who topped their rivals for the second time this season.

Brick and RBC have faced off twice this season as divisional foes – the Dragons won 7-5 at home, and 4-3 at the Armory.

Eddie Rafferty of Brick kept the Dragons in the game in the semifinals with the Rebels and will need to be just as good before what is expected to be a sellout crowd at the Armory.

Brick will look to extend its winning streak before heading  into the NJSIAA playoffs, where the Dragons will have a bye and need just four wins to become Public B champions.
