BRICK, NJ — Brick Township officials have announced a delayed opening for township offices on Monday as the town and state dig out of Sunday's snowstorm.

As a winter storm dropped more than 8 inches of snow on the area by late afternoon, Brick officials said township offices would open late and garbage and recycling collection would be delayed.

Brick Township's municipal offices including town hall, the Senior Center and recreation office will open at noon on Monday.

All Senior Shuttle transportation scheduled for Monday, with the exception of afternoon dialysis appointments, is canceled, officials said.

"Crews have been plowing since early this morning," officials said. "The second shift began at noon and will continue to plow until midnight. We will shift to plowing and salting at that time and will work to clear township streets."

"We appreciate your patience. Please stay safe and stay warm," officials said.
