Hear From Brick School Board Candidates At Virtual Forum

The virtual candidates' forum was run by the League of Women Voters and sponsored by the Veterans Memorial schools' PTAs.

BRICK, NJ — If you are still trying to decide who to vote for in the Brick Township Board of Education election, there is an opportunity to hear the candidates speak during a virtual forum that was held Oct. 21.

The forum was run by the League of Women Voters of Southern Monmouth County and sponsored by the PTAs at Veterans Memorial Elementary and Middle schools.

There are five people seeking two seats on the school board, which is an unpaid volunteer position: Melissa Lozada, under the slogan Time for Change; Micah Bender and Melissa Parker, who are running together under the Transparency and Community slogan; Jessica Clayton, who is a current board member seeking re-election, under the Fighting for Funding slogan, and Michael Blandina, under the Brick First slogan.
