Hearing On Overcrowding At Brick Home Postponed
The municipal court hearing on overcrowding at a home on Hendrickson Avenue has been postponed to December.

BRICK, NJ — A Brick Township municipal court hearing on a summons issued to the owner of a Hendrickson Avenue home has been postponed until December.
The hearing on a summons issued to David Gluck, the owner of 91 Hendrickson Ave., charging overcrowding at the home now is set for 10 a.m. Dec. 13, Brick Township Municipal Court Judge Joseph D. Grisanti said Monday.
"The overcrowding gives me cause for concern, due to the risk to health and safety," Grisanti said.

Brick municipal prosecutor Lani Lombardi said the postponement was necessary because of issues she was having sending discovery materials to Adam Pfeffer, the attorney for Gluck, regarding the overcrowding claims.

The case file size is very large, she said, and that was creating problems sending the files to Pfeffer.
Two summonses related to the former Temple Beth Or site and its unapproved use as a school for Orthodox Jewish boys also were addressed during the hearing Monday morning.
Pfeffer told Grisanti is no formal stay order to halt action on those two summonses while the township's civil court lawsuit in the case is being addressed. He said he would talk to the township's attorney, Ronald Cucchiaro, and Superior Court Judge Craig T. Wellerson, about delaying action on those items while the civil case is ongoing.
The property at 91 Hendrickson Ave. is one of three homes cited by neighbors who have expressed concerns that the homes are being used as a dormitory for students attending the unauthorized Orthodox Jewish school. That school has been shut down since mid-September over code violations and the lack of zoning board approval of the change of use.
A hearing before the Brick Township Board of Adjustment on the school is scheduled for Dec. 20, according to Wellerson's court order.
