Hurricane Harbor Patron Injured On Tornado Water Slide: Official
The patron, described only as an adult, was injured when their tube flipped after another rider jumped off, park officials said.

JACKSON, NJ — An adult patron at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor was taken to a hospital Monday after being injured on the Tornado ride at the park, a Six Flags spokeswoman said Tuesday.
The person had back and neck pain following the incident, said Kristin B. Fitzgerald, a Six Flags spokeswoman.
"Our initial investigation indicates that the guest’s tube overturned as a result of another guest jumping out of the tube, which is a violation of the park’s safety policies," Fitzgerald said.

She confirmed an Asbury Park Press report that the incident took place on the Tornado.

The Tornado has been part of Hurricane Harbor since 2010. Riders on four-person rafts climb seven stories and ride a 132-foot tunnel from 75 feet high into a 60-foot-wide funnel, and then shot out to a pool at the end of the funnel.
"You’ll swirl through the funnel like you’re being blown around with furious force," the ride description on the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor site says."Hang on while you slide wildly back and forth, until you’re all shot out the bottom."
Six Flags has seen several incidents this summer, including one a week ago, where a person fell trying to climb onto the roof of a building in a restricted area. Read more: Six Flags Customer Injured Climbing On Building: Park Official
In late June, a rear car on El Toro came off the roller coaster's tracks. The ride, which was red-tagged by the state Department of Community Affairs after the incident, remains closed as of Tuesday. No one was injured in that incident.
A 12-year-old boy was injured on The Joker on July 16, but the cause of his injury, a cut to the head, was not determined, the Asbury Park Press reported.
Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment June 13 when a boat on the Log Flume tipped on its side. Video of the Log Flume published by NJ.com shows a guide railing loose on the ride, allegedly right before the June 13 accident. That ride has since reopened.
