• Beach Driving Permits Available Soon In Brick (patch.com) — Brick residents who want to drive on the beach this fall and winter can start applying for 2026–27 beach driving permits on Sept. 10, with residents getting first priority. The township will issue only 200 permits, requires scheduled vehicle inspections with all documents and equipment on hand, and will process applications on a first-come, first-served basis.
   

• Brick Township Man Charged with Cutting Down Flock Camera Open Governance (opgov.news) — A Brick Township resident has been charged in connection with cutting down a pole holding a police Flock license-plate camera at Drum Point Road and Hooper Avenue, intensifying debate over the system. Brick currently has 22 of these cameras, and many locals are questioning their privacy impact and the mayor's role in expanding their use, even as police defend them as crime-fighting tools.
