Heading to the Shore this weekend? Here's the forecast for beachgoers for the first weekend in June.

JERSEY SHORE, NJ — It's not quite summer at the Jersey Shore, but for those who love to go to the beach at every opportunity, every weekend is a chance to do so.
Here's Patch's look at the weekend beach conditions for June 2-4, 2023.
The National Weather Service forecast says the weather on Saturday may be a little less hospitable for sitting on the beach, with temperatures in the low 60s and strong winds.

The weather service says there is a low risk of rip currents Friday, with a moderate risk on Saturday. Swimmers are urged to only swim where lifeguards are present. Water temperatures remain cold, in the low 60s, and cold water can cause swimmers to tire quickly, which can lead to finding themselves struggling to swim. Cold water also increases risk of hypothermia. Read more from the National Weather Service on cold-water risks.
The UV index is very high for the weekend, the weather service says, a reminder that even partial clouds won't prevent a sunburn.
