Man Arrested In September Home Burglary Spree In Brick
Brick Township police said they are still working to identify two more suspects in the burglaries.

BRICK, NJ — A Newark man has been charged in a string of burglaries and car thefts that happened on three days in September, Brick Township police said Friday.
Ahmad Singletary, 24, has been charged with 13 counts of burglary, six counts of theft and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle in the incidents that happened Sept. 15, 17 and 25, Police Chief David Forrester said.
Included in the charges is one count of attempted armed burglary, in an incident Sept. 15 on Royal Drive where police say he was in possession of a handgun.

He was arrested following an investigation by Brick Township detectives, led by Detective Brian Farnkopf, and detectives from the Ocean County Sheriff's Department Crime Scene Investigations Unit.
Police said the charges break down as follows:

- Sept. 15: four counts of burglary, one count of theft, one count of theft of a motor vehicle
- Sept. 17: six counts of burglary, three counts of theft
- Sept. 25: three counts of burglary, two counts of theft, one count of theft of a motor vehicle.
Farnkopf issued a warrant for Singletary's arrest on Sept. 25, and later that day in Newark he was arrested, and was found in possession of a vehicle stolen in Brick Township earlier that day, Forrester said.
The investigation is continuing and Forrester said there are two more suspects police are attempting to identify.
