Brick Man Arrested Again After 7 More 'Upskirt' Photo Incidents At ShopRite, Police Say

Donald Sheridan, 62, is accused of taking photos up the skirts and dresses of the women during a three-week period, police said.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police have filed additional charges against a man they say took photos up the skirts and dresses of at least eight women at the ShopRite over nearly three weeks in July and August.

Donald Sheridan, 62, of Brick, was arrested Aug. 23 and charged with five more counts of invasion of privacy in connection with the "upskirting" incidents, Sgt. Jim Kelly said.

Sheridan initially was arrested Aug. 17, when a witness saw him crouching and taking photos up a woman's skirt in ShopRite, in the Kohl's Plaza, that evening, Kelly said at the time.

Loss Prevention Services at ShopRite further reviewed the store's security footage and, using face recognition software, was able to identify Sheridan in seven other incidents where he took pictures up the skirts and dresses of unwitting female victims, Kelly said.

The incidents happened from July 30 to Aug. 16 and the women were from 35 to 73 years old, he said.

Detectives were able to identify six of the seven victims, and interviewed five of them regarding the incident, Kelly said; one woman declined the interview because she didn't want to be involved.

Sheridan was arrested by Detectives Alvarado, Cooney and Talty, Kelly said.

Anyone who has additional information or who may have been a victim is asked to contact Alvarado at 732-262-4612.
