Meth, Heroin Found In Car With 4 Adults, Child, Dog In Brick: Police
The four adults and a child and a dog were packed into a three-seat car when Brick Street Crimes Unit detectives pulled it over.

BRICK, NJ — Four adults who were packed into a three-seat sedan with a child and a dog are facing drug charges after police found methamphetamine, heroin and other drugs in the car following a traffic stop, Brick police said Tuesday.
Detectives with the Brick Township Police Department's Street Crimes Unit saw the driver of the car commit several traffic violations in the area of the Walmart parking lot about 10:45 p.m. on July 25, police said.
The driver, Chastity Torro, 47, of Neptune City, was charged with possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine, possession of crystal methamphetamine, heroin, prescription legend pills, and possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of children and several motor vehicle summonses. She was taken to the Ocean County Jail. The child and dog were turned over to a family friend, police said.

Noah Mangan, 43, of Brick, was charged with possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine, possession of crystal methamphetamine, prescription legend pills, heroin and drug paraphernalia. Mangan provided a false name to officers during the investigation and was charged with hindering his own apprehension for the three outstanding warrants for his arrest. Mangan was taken to Ocean County Jail.
James Sanderson, 41, of Freehold, was charged with possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine, possession of crystal methamphetamine, heroin, prescription legend pills and paraphernalia. He was taken to Ocean County Jail.

Ashley Johnston, 30, of Manchester, was charged with possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine, possession of crystal methamphetamine, heroin, prescription legend pills and drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, Johnston confirmed the false name provided by Mangan, which led to her being additionally charged with hindering apprehension of another. Johnston was released on a summons.
In a separate incident, two people were arrested following a traffic stop at the Walmart parking lot on Route 88 about 11:30 p.m. on July 14, police said. The investigation resulted in the discovery of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Austin Keiser, 43, and Kathleen Lastra, 53, both of Toms River, were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Keiser was additionally charged with distributing cocaine. He was lodged in Ocean County Jail and Lastra was released on a summons.
