Midstreams Bridge To Be Closed Wednesday: Brick Police

The county project to replace the 55-year-old span is anticipated to be finished sometime in March, officials have said.

BRICK, NJ — Area motorists who use the Midstreams Road bridge, take note: The bridge will be completely closed on Wednesday.

Police said on social media that the bridge will be closed in both directions from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

"Please follow detours," the post said.

The $4.6 million construction project to replace the 55-year-old bridge that spans the Beaver Dam Creek is anticipated to be completed in March 2019. The Ocean County Board of Freeholders awarded the project to Midlantic Construction of Barnegat Township in September 2017.

One lane northbound on the bridge, going from Princeton Avenue toward Jordan Road, has been maintained through most of the project.
