The closure is part of the ongoing work, police said.

BRICK, NJ — The Midstreams Bridge will be closed in both directions Thursday as part of the ongoing bridge construction, Brick Township police said Thursday morning.
Police issued a Nixle alert about the closure about 11 a.m. and said the closure is expected to be in place until 4 p.m.
The 55-year-old bridge that spans the Beaver Dam Creek is in the midst of a construction project to replace and widen the span and authorities have been trying to maintain one lane of traffic northbound from Princeton Avenue.
