Midstreams Bridge Shut Thursday For Maintenance: Brick Police

The bridge is in the midst of a reconstruction project.

BRICK, NJ — The Midstreams Bridge will be closed in both directions Thursday for maintenance, Brick Township police said Thursday morning.

Police issued a Nixle alert about the closure about 10 a.m. It did not give an estimate of how long Thursday's closure would last, though it appears to be limited to Thursday.

The 55-year-old bridge that spans the Beaver Dam Creek is in the midst of a construction project to replace and widen the span and authorities have been trying to maintain one lane of traffic northbound from Princeton Avenue.
