As he waits for Medicare and disability to kick in, his Brick community is rallying with donations, meals, and support to bridge a potentially life-threatening gap in coverage.
   

• Glieden, Francis each score twice to power Brick Memorial girls soccer by Long Branch (nj.com subscription) — Brick Memorial's girls soccer team thrilled home fans in Brick with a four-goal second half to beat Long Branch 4–2, led by two goals each from Avery Glieden and Kayla Francis. With strong playmaking from Kaylin Doyle and Maeve DeAngelis, plus key saves by goalie Kayna Lavecchia, the Mustangs turned a halftime deficit into an early-season statement win.
