Investigators report recovering about $15,000 in stolen tools and equipment in Brick and linking the suspect to additional vehicle burglaries in nearby Point Pleasant Borough. The man faces multiple burglary and theft-related charges and was released pending court proceedings.

Bridge Disrupted Due To Road Work In Brick, Police Say (patch.com) — Drivers in Brick are being warned about delays near the Beaver Dam Bridge as road work forces the span to open and close in 10-minute intervals. Police issued a Nixle alert Friday morning advising motorists to avoid the area if possible. Anyone who must cross the bridge should plan for extra travel time and consider alternate routes through Brick.

Police camera chopped down at Brick gas station, man charged (wearenewjersey.com) — Brick residents are being told more about the township's Flock license plate-reading cameras after police say a 31-year-old local man cut one down at the Exxon on Drum Point Road in July.
