POLL: No More Brick Beach Buggy Permits This Year - What Do You Think?

Brick Township officials have suspended the issuance of beach vehicle permits this year, Sgt. Henry Drew of the police department announced Thursday.

Normally, the township issues permits allowing holders to drive vehicles -- typically trucks or sport-utility vehicles -- on the beach, primarily for surf fishing. Permits won’t be issued this year because of the ongoing work on the revetment project and beach replenishment.
