BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department announced several arrests by the Street Crimes Unit over the last three weeks on drug charges, shoplifting and lewdness charges, the police department announced Thursday.

The arrests and charges were as follows:

On June 30, Renee Marturano, 55, of Toms River, and Austin Kaiser, 37, of Lakewood, were arrested after a motor vehicle stop on Brick Boulevard after detectives saw several motor vehicle violations, police said. Officers and K-9 Officer Scott Smith and his partner Echo investigated and found heroin, crack and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Both were charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), two counts of possession with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kaiser also was charged with failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to turn over a CDS, and being under the influence of a CDS. Marturano was additionally charged with failure to use a turn signal, unsafe lane change and delaying traffic. Both subjects were taken to the Ocean County Jail.

On July 7, Alaina McColley, 32, of Lakewood, was arrested after she was seen by detectives shoplifting at the Wawa at 116 Brick Blvd. about 11:45 p.m. A search found she was in possession of crack and drug paraphernalia. McColley was charged on a warrant and taken to the Ocean County Jail.

On July 15, detectives were called to Walmart on Route 88 about 7 p.m. for a report that a man was exposing his genitals to other people. While officers were trying to identify Armar Keys, 29, of Lakewood, and Alyssa Adams, 30, of Toms River, they learned Keys provided a false identity to hide the fact that he had warrants for his arrest. Once his identity was uncovered, officers told Keys he was being arrested, but Keys resisted their efforts before the officers were able to subdue him, police said.
