Swastika, Graffiti Painted At Jackson Business; Woman Charged
Jackson police said a second person is being sought in connection with the anti-Semitic graffiti that included the phrase "white power."
JACKSON, NJ — An Ocean County woman was arrested Thursday and a second person is being sought in connection with the spraypainting of a swastika and other anti-Semitic graffiti on a business in Jackson, police said Thursday.
Virginia Mailloux, 40, of Jackson, was arrested at her home and charged with criminal mischief, trespassing and bias intimidation in the Feb. 13 incident at B&B Tent and Party Rentals on Progress Place, Jackson Capt. Steven Laskiewicz said.
Police found anti-Semitic graffiti that included the phrase "white power" spraypainted on the side of a trailer that faced a wooded area away from the business and a swastika and other markings painted on the interior of a fence surrounding a garbage container, Laskiewicz said.

Security video showed a car drive into the property at night after the business was closed. People got out of the car and went into the area where the garbage containers were and where the graffiti was found. Detectives were able to identify the female driver as Mailloux, he said.
When they went to her home on Thursday and arrested her, officers saw spraypainted markings at the home similar to those at the vandalized business, in a similar paint color, and paint splatter on the car used that was similar to the color of the paint used, Laskiewicz said.
