THC Raids Turn Up Multiple Violations At Welsh Farms, Pantry Farms In Brick, Police Say
Expired medication and prohibited flavored vapes were being sold, police said. Two people were charged and more inspections are pending.
BRICK, NJ — Two Brick Township businesses have been shut down and two people charged after an investigation found illegal THC vape products being sold at the stores, Brick Township police said Tuesday.
More charges are anticipated, Brick Patrol Officer Victoria Finelli said, as authorities with the state Treasury department and Consumer Affairs division found expired medication being sold along with other violations, and inspections by the state Health Department and the state Lottery are anticipated.
Search warrants were executed at Welsh Farms, 1765 Route 88, and Pantry Farm, 2085 Route 88, on Dec. 14 following a lengthy investigation, Finelli said, and Sarajbit Kaur, 46, and Mannu Prasad, 61, both of Brick, were arrested.

Both men were released with summonses, she said.
Welsh Farms was inspected by Treasury and Consumer Affairs inspectors, and Finelli said they will be filing charges of selling expired medication, selling flavored vape products (which are prohibited) and attempting to sell or offering for sale merchandise without tag or label.
The Pantry Farm inspection is expected to result in charges of selling expired medication, selling prohibited flavored vape products, having an unregistered weighing and measuring device and failure to have registration certificate, she said.
The state Department of Health and the Division of State Lottery will be following up at both locations with an inspection of their own for any other violations, Finelli said.
The Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force assisted with the search warrant, she said.
