Toms River South's McLelland, Slavick Sign College Letters
The Indians' captains are taking their soccer skills to the next level and signed during National Signing Day.
TOMS RIVER, NJ -- Toms RIver High School South seniors Maddy McLelland and Charly Slavick finalized their college plans Wednesday, when the Indians’ pair signed their national letters of intent to take their soccer skills to college.
McLelland, the Indians’ defender of the year, is headed to Kutztown University, while Slavick, a center midfielder and the team’s MVP, signed with American University in Washington, D.C.
Both girls are high honor roll students and members of the National Honor Society. The co-captains helped lead the Indians to their second NJSIAA Group III championship and their third straight Shore Conference Class A South title.
