UPDATED: Hour-By-Hour Forecast Of Snow, Rain, Ice Storms In New Jersey

The National Weather Service has issued a ”Hazardous Weather outlook,” predicting a significant winter storm that will span several days, with snow falling Monday night, and into Tuesday, in New Jersey.

The NWS also has issued a ”Winter Weather Advisory,” an alert for freezing rain, sleet and snow that’s in effect from Monday at 6 a.m. to Tuesday at 6 a.m.

Hackettstown (North Jersey)

• Today: Snow and sleet. High near 28. Northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
• Tonight: Snow and sleet, becoming all snow after 9pm. Low around 20. North wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
• Tuesday: A chance of snow before 8 a.m.. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 33. North wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Montclair (Northeast New Jersey)

• Today: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 3 p.m., then snow and sleet. High near 26. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Northeast wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Total daytime ice accumulation of around a 0.1 of an inch possible. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Tonight: Snow and sleet, becoming all snow after 10 p.m. Low around 21. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. North wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 33. Wind chill values between 10 and 20. North wind 9 to 11 mph.

Metuchen (Central Jersey)

• Today: Freezing rain and sleet. High near 32. Northeast wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Total daytime ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.2 of an inch possible. Total daytime sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Tonight: Snow and sleet before 10 p.m., then a chance of snow. Low around 23. North wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.
• Tuesday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 38. North wind 11 to 15 mph.

Manahawkin (South Jersey)

• Today: Rain, freezing rain, and sleet likely, becoming all rain after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Northeast wind around 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.
• Tonight: Rain and sleet likely before midnight, then freezing rain and sleet likely between midnight and 4 a.m., then a chance of snow and sleet after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 29. Blustery, with a northeast wind 18 to 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
