Widespread, Minor Or Moderate Tidal Flooding Possible For Brick, Jersey Shore

A coastal flood watch will take effect Monday morning for the Jersey Shore as the region prepares for a nor’easter that could dump heavy rain.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a coastal flood watch that will impact coastal sections of New jersey and Delaware.

Widespread, minor or moderate tidal flooding is possible for Monday, according to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

Tuesday morning’s high-tide cycle will see at least minor coastal flooding, and there is potential for moderate flooding. A “watch” has not been issued for Tuesday yet to avoid “headline confusion,” according to the Sheriff’s Department.

In addition, wind-driven heavy rains will exacerbate the conditions Tuesday.
