11-Year-Old Girl Hit By Pickup Truck On Route 206, Hospitalized In Bedminster
The driver of the truck, a 53-year-old Bridgewater man is cooperating with Bedminster Police.
BEDMINSTER, NJ — An 11-year-old girl is hospitalized after she was hit by a pickup truck on Route 206 in Bedminster on Monday afternoon.
On Oct. 17 at around 4 p.m., Bedminster Police were called to the intersection of Route 206 and Lamington Road for a report of an automobile vs. pedestrian collision, said Bedminster Police Officer Allison Alexantonakis.
A preliminary investigation found that a 53-year-old man from Bridgewater was driving south on Route 206 in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and hit the pedestrian who was crossing Route 206, said Alexantonakis.

Police found the pedestrian, an 11-year-old girl from Bedminster, suffering from internal injuries and she was taken to Morristown Medical Center.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, said Alexantonakis.

Witnesses said the girl "pedestrian darted across Route 206 on a green traffic signal and there was nothing the driver could do to avoid the collision," according to Alexantonakis.
