18 Cars Burglarized, 2 Stolen Overnight In Bridgewater

All vehicles that were entered were unlocked. "Don't become a victim of a crime of opportunity!" police said.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — About 18 cars were broken into, two were stolen overnight in the western part of Bridgewater. All of them were unlocked, said police.

"There was no forced entry to any vehicles. Some of the victims actually left their car keys and wallets/purses inside of their unlocked vehicles," said Bridgewater Police Captain John Mitzak.

All of the burglaries occurred overnight in the areas between Vanderveer Road and Milltown Road, said Mitzak.

"We strongly remind you to remove all valuables from your vehicle, lock your vehicle doors and bring the key with you inside your house. Don’t become a victim of a crime of opportunity!" Bridgewater Police Department - NJ shared.
